Summary
It is critical that work be undertaken to bring all stakeholders together to develop a common position for the future of Professional Practice in ICT degrees. This is particularly important for our students who are the key stakeholders and will inevitably benefit from a more coherent and richer approach to enhancing their professional practice skills and knowledge. The outcomes from this work will enhance the overall learning experience for ICT students, the employability of ICT graduates, lead to an improvement in the profile of ICT as a profession, and increase the ability for universities to attract greater numbers of high calibre students to study ICT.
