Develop online learning modules to replace lecture-based material. The outcomes are to prepare and upload online modules including:
Content to highlight and develop the professional and personal skills of commencing engineers. The modules would include an on-line metric to self-assess their own learning needs in this area.
An introduction to key technical topics in engineering. These modules would include formative and summative assessment exercises and would also be assessed in the final exam.
Taped ?lectures? from practicing engineers edited to provide ?YouTube?-style video-bites. The material would be organised by topic to provide an online FAQ for new chemical engineers about their chosen discipline.
